The annual Pantomime produced by "Chuckles" is tradition in the Tring area with many families choosing to attend year after year.

This year's production was "Dick Whittington" and, as usual, Theatre Power was asked to provide the necessary lighting, special effects, video and sound equipment plus a full technical crew to rig and operate the production.

Theatre Power provided a huge range of extra equipment to augment the standard rig at The Court Theatre, Pendley.  This included numerous extra lights and dimmer channels, four follow spots, extensive pyrotechnic effects, smoke, snow and bubble machines, radio microphones for principal singers and a computerised sound effects system to cope with the ad lib silliness that is so much a part of panto.  The installation was completed by a 5-camera television system, both to provide a feed of the action to the backstage and bar areas and to record the show for posterity.

For the actual performances, Theatre Power provided an operational crew of 10 to handle all the lighting, sound, video and special effects.  Rigging and running the show was hard work...but the delighted response from the sell-out audiences proved that it was all a great success!

The full job of rigging, including rehanging the standard Pendley lights took two and a half days.
	Simon Howes ran the lighting desk while Theatre Power Managing Director Peter Skidmore was Technical Manager for the whole operation.
Brian Urlwin was in charge of the safe operation of all the elaborate pyrotechnic effects.
	Because of the complexity of Panto sound, Theatre Power provided a 24 channel mixing desk 12 channels of radio microphones and a computerised sound effects system.
